Portsmouth have confirmed that overseas fans can watch their Championship fixture at Charlton Athletic live this Saturday via a Pompey+ match pass. The club's streaming service will provide full coverage of the 3pm kick-off at The Valley.
Manager John Mousinho emphasised the importance of the service for supporters abroad. "The only place for overseas fans to watch the Blues' latest Championship fixture is live on Pompey+," he said. The pre-match show begins at 2.30pm, presented by George Wedlake alongside analysts Mark Kelly and Paul Robinson.
Coverage details
Fans can purchase a single match pass or opt for a seasonal or monthly subscription. The live broadcast includes the full matchday show, where supporters can contribute by sending messages and voicenotes to the dedicated Pompey+ WhatsApp channel. The club notes it will not reply to messages sent there, as the line is for broadcast content only.
There is a significant exception for viewers in certain countries. Portsmouth Football Club said: "Fans should be aware that following an exclusive broadcasting deal between the EFL and Viaplay, clubs cannot stream games in the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden)."
Domestic options
Supporters based in the United Kingdom do not have a live video option for this match, as it is not being shown on the Sky Sports+ app. UK-based subscribers to Pompey+ can still access the pre-match show and listen to live audio commentary of the game, plus half-time and full-time analysis. A separate live audio pass is also available for purchase.
League context
The announcement comes as Portsmouth look to build on a mixed start to the season. They currently sit 17th in the Championship table with six points from five matches.
