Pompey will visit Woking, Aldershot, and Farnborough as part of their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. John Mousinho's side will be competing in the Championship for a third successive season following last term's 18th-place finish. Their summer friendlies start with a trip to Kingfield Stadium to face Woking on Tuesday, July 14 (7pm kick-off). The Cardinals ended 10th in the National League last season and were previously managed by Blues first team coach Michael Doyle. It will be the second successive year that the sides have met in pre-season, with goals from Adrian Segečić and Paddy Lane securing a 2-0 victory in 2025. There is then a quick turnaround before Pompey head to the Recreation Ground to take on Aldershot on Wednesday, July 15 (7pm kick-off). The Shots also compete in the National League and finished 20th last term, narrowly avoiding dropping into the sixth tier. Mousinho's side will then visit Cherrywood Road for a clash with National League South outfit Farnborough on Wednesday, July 29 (7pm kick-off). The sides also faced off in pre-season last year, as goals from Zak Swanson, Harry Clout, Marlon Pack, Thomas Waddingham, and Josh Murphy sealed a 5-0 win. Pompey are in the process of confirming further friendly matches, which will be announced in due course.
