Portsmouth defender Younger announced her departure from the club after eight years. The 25-year-old, who helped win the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title in 2023/24, will leave at the end of the season.
Younger, Portsmouth’s longest-serving player, played a key role in the club’s rise over the last eight years. Her contributions helped the team secure the Southern Premier Division title in 2023/24, a triumph that saw Portsmouth turn full-time professional.
In a statement posted on the club’s official website, Younger thanked teammates, staff and supporters. “After eight years at Pompey, the time has come for me to move on. I’ve experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows at the club and through it all I’ve always had the best support. I’ve grown both on and off the pitch and I’m thankful for it all and the memories shared along the way. To everyone connected with the club - teammates, staff, and supporters - thank you for being part of this chapter of my career,” she said.
Portsmouth will announce further squad changes in due course.
