Portsmouth will visit Germany this summer to take on Darmstadt 98 in a pre-season friendly. The match – which has been arranged in association with Onside Sports – at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor will be played on Saturday, August 1 (1pm kick-off UK time/2pm local time). It takes place just one week before the side return to competitive action in the first round of the Carabao Cup. The game will follow previously announced friendlies against Woking, Aldershot, Wycombe and Farnborough. Darmstadt compete in 2. Bundesliga – the German equivalent of the Championship – and finished fifth last season. Ticket information for the match will be announced in due course.
